The purpose of Fuji Tecom Inc. Confirmation of Calibration Certification is:
To minimize equipment liability by following Manufacturers recommended Annual Calibration protocol.
To ensure the tool is functioning as when purchased new, for both the Underground Facility Locator and Client. Fuji Tecom Inc. recommends their designated service provider (Fuji Pipe Locators Ltd.) conduct this Annual Confirmation of Calibration Certification (CCC).
To document, the Fuji Tecom Inc. Pipe Tool has been properly certified, by either Fuji Tecom Inc. of Japan or Fuji Pipe Locators Ltd. throughout Canada.
To minimize equipment liability by conforming to the Manufacturer’s specifications.
To record proof of proper certification to Fuji Tecom Inc.’s recommended specifications.
To properly certify, all unique function characteristics and calibration protocols are to Fuji Tecom Inc. specifications.
To record a historic data base for each Fuji Tecom Inc. Pipeline and Cable Locator.
How Fuji Tecom Inc. CCC minimizes equipment liability
In case of a negative event related to the process of locating underground utilities, the locating equipment function may be identified as a cause.
To this end, Fuji Tecom Inc. of Japan recommended an annual CCC service to reduce the liability to operators and asset owners.
Fuji Tecom Inc. criteria includes:
Utilizing Fuji Pipe Locators Ltd. as the EXCLUSIVE Canadian CCC and service provider for Fuji Tecom Inc. of Japan.
Confirming each Fuji Tecom Inc. tool conformed to the manufacturer’s original equipment specifications annually through our annual CCC service.
A Certificate of Calibration, with matching Transmitter and Receiver component Date Stickers with corresponding Serial Numbers.
How to get your Fuji Tecom Inc. Confirmation of Calibration Certification
The recommended CCC service interval is every 12 months.
NOTE: There are electronic service providers in industry that issue “certification” services. These are not valid Certificates nor recognized by Fuji Tecom Inc. These service providers do not have Fuji Tecom Inc. equipment specifications to provide this service. It is essential that your CCC is performed by your Manufacturer authorized CCC service provider.
